Diamond Crown: Julius Caeser Robusto Cigars

Diamond Crown is one of J.C. Newman's premium cigar brands, and the Julius Caeser cigar honors the company's founder: Julius Caeser Newman. Emigrating from Hungary to the United States in 1888, Newman couldn't complete his immigration paperwork without a middle name, and having no given middle name, he sought help from an immigration officer, who suggested "Caesar" as a powerful fit with Newman's first name. A typo by the attendant, though, rendered the named "Caeser," giving rise to the now American citizen: Julius Caeser Newman. Young Newman would go on to learn the art of rolling cigars by hand, establishing a flourishing family legacy for generations.

Diamond Crown was one of Newman's earliest cigar brands, and in 2010, Diamond Crown released the Julius Caeser cigar to celebrate the founder's 135th birthday and the company's 115th anniversary. Rolled by hand at the Tabacalera A. Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic, the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Robusto features a secret filler blend from the Caribbean and Central America, aged for five years and encased in a Dominican binder and Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.
