Drew Estate: Kentucky Fire Cured Delfinas Cigars

Product Number: 007-084-0059

Drew Estate's Kentucky Fire Cured cigars showcase tobacco that, instead of being air-cured like most cigars, is cured over a fire — changing the flavor profile and adding smoke to the tobacco's drying process. As such, these Kentucky Fire Cured cigars present intriguing notes of roasted wood and smokiness akin to peaty scotch whiskey. Also available in the Candela-wrapped Swamp and flavored tip Sweets versions.

A truly fabulous smoke! Don’t be fooled by the small ring guage size. This is a flavorful cigar and worthy of your rotation.

Early to mid-term: Smoky, smoky volume and solid taste that cannot be imagined from its fineness. Mid to Late: I don't feel the sweetness, but his French fries-like aroma and sweetness of the potatoes are similar to the Virginia pipe tobacco.

The main reason I wanted to try this vitola in the KFC line up was the wrapper, which is the star of the show. Smokey, spicy, creamy, rich abundant smoke. Nice spicy finish. Now, my hats off to the folks at Drew Estate for making this vitola. With a scant amount of filler, this wrapper shines.
T
his looks and feels like a toy if you're used to a 52 ring, but this is a finely hand made quality cigar. Now another reviewer stated he could not get a draw on his. I nipped the cap with my V-cut gizmo and my draw was exceptional. I will try the other vitolas in this line, but I know I will keep coming back to this gem. It's the wrapper that is king.
Now I've made a lot of cigars in my day, mostly ugly cheroots that I've air dried. To make a long thin cigar as this by hand takes an exceptional craftsman.

The Drew Estate Kuntucky fire is one of my favorite cigar lines but this one was very disappointing. It was a very hard draw. I couldn't finish it. The flavor was the same as the rest in the family but just lacking due to the hard draw.
