Drew Estate: Nica Rustica Adobe Robusto Cigars

As the name suggests, Drew Estate's Nica Rustica is designed to be a rugged, no-nonsense cigar that showcases the boldness of pure Nicaraguan tobacco and pays homage to the Nicaraguan people and their culture — going so far as to adorn the Rustica's packaging with an image of El Brujito, or "Witch Doctor." The symbol dates back to 2,000 year old stone carvings, and tobacco traditionally played a pivotal role in ceremonial and medicinal practices.

An extension of the original Nica Rustica line, the Adobe version honors the colorful colonial houses of Estelí, Nicaragua, as displayed across the boxes and where La Gran Fábrica Drew Estate is located. As a blend, the Nica Rustica Adobe trades the original's Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper for one of Nicaraguan Habano leaf, complemented by a Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí and Jalapa. It makes for a spicier interpretation of the Nica Rustica blend, offering a medium- to full-bodied profile full of boldness.
