Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust: Sobremesa Brûlée Toro Cigars
Product Number: 007-856-0007
Dunbarton's Sobremesa literally translates to "over the table" from Spanish and refers to the Latino tradition of leisurely conversing around the table after a meal. In the words of the Nicaraguan brand's founder, Steve Saka (former president and CEO of Drew Estate), sobremesa "is the experience of lingering casually with family and friends in conversation, relaxing, drinking, smoking, and enjoying each other's company."
In honor of those times, Dunbarton presents the Sobremesa cigar. The original Sobremesa is marked by Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Broadleaf ligero fillers, covered in a Mexican San Andrés binder and Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper, but here in the Brûlée version, the Pennsylvania Broadleaf fillers are removed and the Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper is replaced by one of Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf. The result makes for a milder, even smoother version of the Sobremesa, meant to highlight the Connecticut Shade wrapper and all its complex and nuanced flavors.
