Arturo Fuente: Fuente y Padrón Legends Humidor (Box of 40) Cigars
Product Number: 007-041-0258
Within the greater canon of the cigar world, two of the largest, most well-respected names in the industry are Fuente and Padrón, both representative of a cigar-making lineage marked by success, hardship, and phenomenal tobacco. Arturo Fuente Cigars was founded in 1912 by its eponymous patriarch, a Cuban immigrant to Florida, who established production before being forced to stop following a catastrophic factory fire. Following several years of small-scale, local production, ownership of Arturo Fuente cigars was transferred to Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Sr., under whose stewardship the company grew rapidly and flourished as one of the most respected names in cigars. Similarly, Padrón was founded by Cuban immigrant José Orlando Padrón, who spent much of his life as a tobacco farmer before enlisting in the army in the early 1950s and departing the island nation in 1961. José spent a few months in Spain before arriving in the U.S., making his way to Miami in 1962, where, after years of manual labor, he founded Padrón Cigars in 1964, dedicating himself to the pursuit of tobacco perfection. Carlito Sr. and José Orlando have since become legends in the cigar world, their impact on the craft evident not only in the production of their respective companies but in the enormous depth and breadth of the premium cigar industry as a whole. Carlito Sr. unfortunately passed away in 2016, with José Orlando passing the next year, and the brands, in turn, were passed down to the next generation: to Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr. and Jorge Padrón, respectively. In 2021, Fuente and Padrón announced plans for a momentous collaboration that featured a selection of 40 cigars, 20 from each company, contained within a single presentation box. Thus, the Fuente y Padrón Legends Humidor was born, the collaboration all the more special thanks to its concept: Fuente's cigar blended to honor José Padrón and Padrón's cigar blended to honor Carlos Sr. All 40 cigars are presented in a 7 x 50 Churchill vitola, comprising an undisclosed blend of tobacco and packaged inside an opulent humidor box alongside an official certificate of authenticity. A boxed set that exudes both reverence and refinement, all the proceeds from this extremely special collaboration have been dedicated to charities founded by the two companies, Fuente's Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and the Padrón Family Foundation: both of which work tirelessly to establish quality schools in both Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
