La Gloria Cubana: Medio Tiempo Churchill Cigars
Product Number: 007-025-0067
A traditional Cuban brand, La Gloria Cubana was revitalized in 1972 in Miami by Ernesto Carrillo, his intent being to provide top-notch cigars to local clientele. By the early 1990s, the brand's popularity had grown to become a staple of national cigar culture, prompting La Gloria Cubana to move production to the Dominican Republic where their cigars are made today.
The La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo cigar uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder with filler tobaccos from four different areas: the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Connecticut. The Connecticut varietal informs the cigar's name, comprising Connecticut Habano medio tiempo leaf. Medio tiempo is a priming of tobacco found at the top of the plant above ligero, adding depth and body to this Medio Tiempo Churchill for a medium-bodied smoke with savory flavors of earth, oak, cocoa, leather, and cinnamon.
