A brand rooted in familial tradition, Gran Habano celebrates the cigar-making history of the Rico family, continued now by Guillermo and his son George. Guillermo's grandfather first began growing tobacco in 1920, passing the craft to Guillermo's father. In 1998, the Rico established their factory in Danlí, Honduras, and Gran Habano's three core lines — Connecticut #1, Habano #3, and Corojo #5 — were introduced in 2003.
The Connecticut #1 cigar offers a mild- to medium-bodied smoke and proves that mild cigars don't have to lack in nuance and complexity. With an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers, the Connecticut #1 Gran Robusto from Gran Habano boasts a deliciously smooth flavor profile marked by toasted and creamy notes.
