The phrase pan caliente in Spanish literally translates to "hot cake," and it's used in an expression equivalent to "selling like hot cakes" in English. Such a name is perfect for one of HVC's flagship cigar lines, having become a favorite for discerning connoisseurs since its debut in 2016. As a cigar, the Pan Caliente is a Nicaraguan puro, comprising two-year-aged Aganorsa tobacco — including a Criollo '98 wrapper — and is rolled at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Honduras. It offers delicious notes of cream, syrupy sweetness, and subtle spice in a medium-bodied smoke.

A fantastic cigar for the price! Lots of flavor but never harsh. There is a sweetness throughout the entire smoke that increases in the second half. Spicy but never irritating. To my tastes, it is similar to a few Olivas, but with its own earthy and unique edge. There is leather in the second third, that is kept smooth by the creaminess and sweetness. Very rich by the end. You really can’t do much better at this price point!
