The La Rosa 520 cigar honors HVC founder Reinier Lorenzo's childhood home — named for the street he grew up on in Havana, Cuba. The normal La Rosa 520 blend is a Nicaraguan puro comprising Aganorsa tobaccos, but this Maduro version trades the original's Jalapa Corojo '99 wrapper for a Mexican San Andrés Maduro leaf. First released in 2018 as an exclusive cigar for SmallBatchCigar.com, the La Rosa 520 Maduro is now a limited annual release by HVC, marked by notes of chocolate, coffee, and spice and a medium-bodied smoking experience.
