Illusione: Epernay 10th Anniversary d'Aosta Cigars

A cigar for connoisseurs, Illusione's Epernay is meant to personify luxury and refinement, having been named after a town in France's Champagne region. Fitting with this theme, the Epernay is a more mellow-bodied, subtle cigar — comprised of Criollo '98 and Corojo '99 tobaccos from Nicaraguan covered in a AAA grade Corojo Cafe Rosado wrapper.

This special d'Aosta version was released in 2019 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Epernay series. Like the line's regular-production cigars, the d'Aosta is a Nicaraguan puro crafted at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras, but the specific components of the blend remains a secret, differing slightly from the original Epernay. The d'Aosta name references founder Dion Giolito's Italian roots — his family coming from the Valle d'Aosta in northern Italy. The region is known for its prestigious wine, fitting in with the Epernay's overall theme but with specific meaning for Giolito, and it's available in a single 6" x 50 Toro size.
