Meaning "the beard" in Spanish, La Barba is a small-batch, boutique cigar company founded by Tony Bellatto and Craig Rossi. The Purple line is handmade in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera William Ventura, and Bellatto and Rossi collaborated with Henderson Ventura (co-master blender of Tabacalera William Ventura) and Robert Caldwell (founder of Caldwell cigars) to create this special blend. The La Barba Purple features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a Dominican Corojo binder around a special filler blend of Corojo, HVA Habano (Habano-seed tobacco from Cuba's prestigious growing region, Vuelta Abajo), and a rare leaf from the Dominican Republic called Carbonell, offering flavors of peppery spice overtop sweet and floral notes for a medium-bodied experience.
