Luciano: The Sergeant Cigars

Luciano cigars merge the blending and business prowess of Luciano Meirelles with the quality construction and production standards of Eradio Pichardo's factory in Nicaragua, representing the benefit of collaboration and testifying to Meirelles' partnership-focused mindset. Meirelles and Pichardo partnered in 2009, prioritizing a vertically integrated approach that includes tobacco farms in Nicaragua and Ecuador and the renowned reputation of the Tabacalera Pichardo.

The Sergeant was released in 2021 as an exclusive cigar to attendees of the PCA Trade Show in Las Vegas. It's a singular 5" x 58 Robusto Gordo and features Nicaraguan fillers — ligero leaf from Estelí and viso leaf from Jalapa and Pueblo Nuevo, as well as a double binder of hybrid-seed Connecticut tobaccos and an Ecuadorian Corojo '99 wrapper. In blending the cigar, Meirelles drew inspiration from his friend Brian Acevedo, a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, who he describes as "one of the most altruistic and self-giving persons I know." The Sergeant cigar honors Sergeant Acevedo and all others who put the lives of others above their own and offers and medium- to full-bodied smoking experience.
