Micallef: Connecticut Robusto Cigars

A partnership between two inspiring families, Micallef cigars combine Al Micallef's entrepreneurial acumen with Joel Gómez-Sanchez's cigar-making dynasty. The family's experience stretches back to 1934, when Pedro Gomez established a tobacco business in Cuba. Now based in Estelí, Nicaragua, Pedro's grandson Joel oversees the production of Micallef cigars, each hand-rolled by skilled torcedores.

Micallef's Connecticut blend is a more robust rendition of the traditionally smooth and creamy cigar. Combining an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and a Nicaraguan Habano binder with fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, it adds a spicy kick to the smooth creaminess of the shade-grown wrapper.
