Montecristo: 1935 Edicion Diamante Robusto Cigars

Montecristo's 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua blend was released in 2020, made to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the original brand's establishment. The venerable brand partnered with A.J. Fernández to blend the cigar, and while experimenting with combinations of tobacco, the blend for the 1935 Edicion Diamante was discovered. Though the taste itself was excellent, Fernández felt that it needed more age, and in 2023, the Edicion Diamante was finalized and released. Like the original, the Edicion Diamante is a Nicaraguan puro, comprising a hybrid Cuban-seed wrapper grown in Jalapa overtop an Ometepe Criollo wrapper and fillers from Esteli. The Edicion Diamante is a milder cigar than the original 1935 Anniversary release, utilizing a lower-priming wrapper leaf that offers a more medium-bodied smoking experience right for smokers of any experience level.
