Oliva: Cuba Aliados by E.P. Carrillo ReGordo Cigars
Product Number: 007-067-0136
Cuba Aliados cigars were first produced in Havana, Cuba in the 1940s, the brainchild of Rolando Reyes Sr., who moved production to the United States for a limited time before permanently relocating to Honduras. The brand rose to prominence in the 1990s and, in 2012, Reyes Sr. passed away, the Cuba Aliados name later being acquired by the Oliva family in 2021. Oliva re-released the Cuba Aliados brand in 2022 with a new blend, though one which stays true to the heritage of the name. In tandem with the Original Blend, produced by Julio Eiroa of JRE Tobacco, Oliva additionally released an imagining of the Cuba Aliados cigar by E.P. Carillo. This is a limited edition release comprising 10,000 boxes of 20 cigars available on the U.S. market, its blend boasting a five-year-aged Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic & Nicaragua. The result is a complex, medium-bodied cigar that's both excellently balanced and rich with flavor.
