Since its founding in 1964, Padrón has led the cigar industry with its tenaciously consistent quality, construction, and flavor profiles. With simple branding and no-nonsense series, Padrón offers a variety of vitolas comprised of Nicaraguan tobaccos and wrapped in either Natural or Maduro leaf.

Introduced to the cigar world in 1994 in honor of Padrón's 30th anniversary, the 1964 Anniversary Series features a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The Maduro features the same Nicaraguan fillers and binder as the Natural version, but trades the Nicaraguan wrapper for one of San Andrés Maduro leaf. Box pressed in honor of the Cuban tradition and the family's heritage, this Exclusivo vitola offers flavor notes of pepper, leather, and cedar.

Great cigar!

I can see why this is a top selling cigar! The notes were leather, spice, and pepper. It burned evenly and left a nice white ash. Well worth the money for sure! If on the fence about getting it, at least get one to try it for yourself.

A full bodied yet well balanced cigar, I would expect nothing less from the 1964 line of Padrons. A bit above the mid price point for most cigars but miles above in quality and flavor. Still a value at this price.
