Rocky Patel: Juneteenth 1865 Project Toro Cigars

Product Number: 007-036-0243

Produced in collaboration with the Juneteenth Foundation, the Juneteenth 1865 Project cigar by Rocky Patel is a blend that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth began as a celebration in remembrance of June 19th, 1865, when Union Army General Gordon Granger proclaimed the emancipation of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, making good on the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, which saw minimal enforcement in Confederate states during the Civil War. Now a federal holiday, Juneteenth is a celebration of slavery's abolition and Black American culture. Rocky Patel will be donating a portion to the cigar's proceeds to the Juneteenth Foundation to support their work in building awareness around the holiday and its significance.

The Rocky Patel Juneteenth 1865 Project cigar is composed of a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Nicaraguan and Honduran binders, and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, hand-rolled at the Tabacalera Villa Cuba in Nicaragua.
