Named for the Spanish word for "the skulls" and inspired by the Day of the Dead festival, Crowned Heads' limited-edition Las Calaveras cigar is one of the company's most anticipated yearly releases, now in its ninth iteration since debuting in 2014. Like the holiday, the line honors people close to Crowned Heads who have passed away, with each annual edition marked by a different blend and color palette. The 2023 version, as with previous ones, is made in Estelí, Nicaragua, by the Garcia family at My Father Cigars. As a blend, the 2023 Las Calaveras cigar features Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos enveloped in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. This sampler pack contains one of each vitola that the blend was released in, comprising the 5 x 50 LC50 Robusto, the 6 x 52 LC52 Toro, the 5 5/8 x 54 LC54 Robusto, and the 5 1/2 x 52 Belicoso Fino.
