H. Upmann: 1844 Añejo Robusto Cigars

Product Number: 007-001-0090

Released in 2020, H. Upmann's 1844 Añejo cigar makes use of well-aged tobaccos — añejo meaning "aged" in Spanish. The 1844 Añejo joins Upmann's other 1844 lines but makes use of tobaccos that have been aged for at least five years. Blended with the help of Ernesto Kranwinkel from Tabacalera, USA, and handcrafted in Honduras at the Flor de Copan factory, the 1844 Añejo Robusto bears a three-country filler blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Honduran tobaccos covered by a Pennsylvania Broadleaf binder and double-fermented Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.

Taste is sweet, light habano with abundance of creaminess and small wimps of woods and dark pepper. Second third develops some zest flavors, but remains constantly creamy. Last third is overshadowed creaminess, sweet tobacco and reminiscent of a good milk chocolate consistency. Not complex by any means, but the flavors are quality....Read More
