Warped: El Oso Blanco Papa Cigars

Product Number: 007-841-0031

Meaning "The Bear" in Spanish, Warped's El Oso is a medium-bodied cigar rolled in the traditional Cuban style by the hands of Level 9 torcedores at the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami, Florida. El Oso debuted in 2008, only to return in 2014 before its third release in 2021, and it remains a highly limited-production cigar. The standard El Oso features an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, but 2021 saw the release of an even more exclusive version: El Oso Blanco, which combines the filler and binder of the original El Oso with the Connecticut-seed Ecuadorian Desflorada wrapper of Warped's flagship La Colmena cigar. Merging two of Warped's most sought-after cigars, El Oso Blanco offers an intriguing flavor profile of complex nuance, and it's offered in a singular size — Papa — a 6" x 48 Toro.

Product: Warped El Oso Blanco Papa
This is an impressive cigar. It shares some similarities with la colmena and the maestro del tiempo: natural sweet and floral notes—some honey and some cashew. It’s also very evocative of chamomile and other floral teas. It has wood (cedar) and barnyard notes throughout. It’s bready in a very satisfying way; it has cinnamon notes in the first and final thirds and in the retrohale. The smoke it produces has a pleasant feel. The only downside I found was the draw. It can be a bit tight, even though I let it sit in my humidor for a couple of months. It’s worth the price....Read More
