Warped: Companion de Warped Cigars
Product Number: 007-841-0032
In 2021, Kyle Gellis and Warped released the brand's first cigar made in the Dominican Republic, the Chinchalle, born out of a collaboration with Hostos Fernández Quesada and his Tabacalera La Isla factory. Later that year saw the release, then, of Warped's second Dominican-made cigar: the Companion de Warped. Like the Chinchalle, the Companion de Warped partners with Quesada and La Isla, and it's characterized by a grade-A Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Gellis has only ever used a San Andrés wrapper once — for the highly limited El Oso Mama cigar — but not for a lack of desire. He'd had difficulty finding leaf that aligned with Warped's rigorous standards, but when visiting the DR, he found exemplary, grade-A stock and immediately knew it deserved showcasing. The Companion de Warped also features a Dominican binder from Cotuí and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, and it's available in a single, 4.5" x 48 Rothschild size.
