ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

 

Laudisi Enterprises is the parent company of Cornell & Diehl, Laudisi Distribution Group, Kapp & Peterson, and Smokingpipes.com (the world’s largest and best online retailer of pipes and pipe tobacco). To help support our growing organization, we’re on the hunt to recruit a Graphics Specialist to enhance our Marketing team. The Marketing department serves as stewards, champions, and storytellers of all Laudisi brands, employing time-tested as well as new and evolving marketing strategies to increase engagement and conversions while continuing to delight our loyal communities. We’re searching for a Graphic Designer to help us accomplish these goals.

In this supporting contributor role, you will work closely with our lead Designer, Photographers, and Marketing Writers to create expressive visual assets for a variety of mediums and channels — including website banners, external advertisements, branded product packaging, trade show displays, promotional brochures, brand logos, and much more. Our ideal candidate has a portfolio of experience in both digital and print graphic design, preferably for e-commerce; is proficient in the full Adobe Creative Suite; and has a strong understanding of design language and principles. A successful candidate will be able to identify good graphic design and explain its strengths clearly.

Mostly, we’re looking for an effective, creative problem-solver with strong visual communication skills and a passion for art and design. Any experience in front-end web development is a serious plus. 

 

The job may involve some occasional local/regional travel, but mostly you will be on-site in Longs, SC, or working remotely on occasion.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • You possess an intermediate understanding of composition, typography, and color theory
  • You demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail
  • You have sharp organizational and time-management skills 
  • You’re a strong communicator, both as a speaker and writer
  • You have experience designing web ads and other digital media 
  • You encourage an iterative creative process and welcome criticism
