ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We, Laudisi Enterprises, the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Cornell & Diehl, Peterson of Dublin and Low Country Pipe & Cigar, are looking for a creative and self-motivated individual to join our Marketing team as a Content Writer.

The Marketing department serves as stewards, champions, and storytellers of all Laudisi brands, employing time-tested as well as new and evolving marketing strategies to increase engagement and conversions while continuing to delight our loyal communities. We’re searching for a Content Writer to help us accomplish these goals.
In this contributor role, you will work closely with our Marketing Team to brainstorm, plan, outline, draft, and edit content for a variety of mediums and channels — including newsletters, product packaging, whitepapers, advertisements, blog articles, website copy, social media straps, and more. Our ideal candidate has demonstrated experience writing for an in-house team or agency, preferably for e-commerce; can effortlessly switch voices and tones to suit specific brands and audiences; feels comfortable juggling multiple writing assignments simultaneously; and can offer meaningful contributions to conversations regarding SEO and content strategy.
Mostly, we’re looking for an effective, creative problem-solver with exceptional communication skills and a passion for the written word. A successful candidate will be able to identify good writing and explain its virtues clearly; they will also excel at finding logical connections between seemingly disparate ideas.
The job may involve some occasional local/regional travel, but mostly you will be on-site in Longs, SC, or working remotely on occasion.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- You are an exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing
- You have experience writing marketing copy
- You are adept at catching typos and grammatical mistakes
- You are familiar with basic SEO principles
- You have a knack for research and can synthesize easily
- You demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills
- You have strong organizational and time-management skills
- You encourage an iterative creative process and welcome criticism
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Consistently demonstrates punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work autonomously while also building strong working relationships with management and team members
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Possess a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a clean criminal background check
