Like the more mellow-bodied Capstan Yellow, Capstan Blue was originally created by W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol well over a century ago. It's remained a favorite to countless pipe smokers across generations (J.R.R. Tolkien having been one of its most noted aficionados), a testament to the quality of this fine Virginia flake, here offered in ready-rubbed form. This particular tin of Capstan Ready Rubbed Blue has been aging since 2020, deepening and maturing in flavor over the intervening years.

These stickers were applied at the factory; we have simply consolidated products into their respective years of production to avoid confusion
