Nutty and Fruity

Product: Kopp Graham 50g
So this blend is heavier on the nut note, and on my palate, overpowers the subtle fruit notes, though they're sweetness is still present. However the aroma is every bit of strong as the tin. It's a decent smoke but if you want to try one of the Caribbean Blue, get the Drake.

I guess I have more adoration for this tobacco then some. Not a huge aromatic smoker, frankly the other way mostly, but the tin note and taste of this tobacco is off the charts. I agree with the coconut profile note, which is slightly fore front with the blackberry and cane sugar notes competing closely. One of the few aromatics that actually tastes like it smells, and maintains that through the entirety of the bowl. This is my second tin, and both have had absolute perfect moisture. Must-have for those who are in the aromatic camp....Read More
Burley trail mix

Product: Kopp Graham 50g
This is predominantly Burley, prominently nutty tasting. I can't make out the difference between the Cavendish and Virginia. The main casing is a natural tasting toasted coconut, like a coconut macaroon, but not particularly sweet. Then there's hazelnut second to the coconut.. The "cane sugar" doesn't come across as remotely dark, not even like turbino- just straight refined table sugar sweetness, but not much of it. There's a slight sourness at the first light, which might be the blackberry, and which disappears fairly quickly but then shows up again as a more floral scent, not flavor. Interestingly, that floral aspect comes back in the aftertaste. The coconut and hazelnut compliment the burley, which gets slightly astringent towards the end. Not quite medium nicotine. It's a pretty light, high-register smoke, and to me has an outdoorsy feel which makes me think of a good, unsweetened trail mix with coconut and a little bit of dried cranberry. It's not the summer smoke I was looking for. I'll come back to it this fall, when I think it would go well with a Canadian whisky....Read More
Damaged Tin but tasty contents

I have now tried all 6 of these Caribbean Blue blends. This one is fruity and a bit smokey and nutty and creamy and on and on and on So much going on in this blend it's a bit overwhelming and chaotic. Would've been nice if the labels hadn't been missing so I had some clue what I was smoking but 1 out of 6 isn't too bad I guess...Read More
Good, but don't try this near mealtime

Product: Kopp Graham 50g
This is splendid when you've got folks around you, as smoking this one indoors could fool others into believing there's a very berry candle in the vicinity. Still, the flavor lingers heavily, so don't eat or drink coffee soon after smoking this unless you're down with a berry-fication of its flavor profile....Read More
