Sutliff: Blend No. 5 1.5oz Pipe Tobacco

Product Number: 003-442-0010

Invariably the most demanding and hardest to satisfy smokers are connoisseurs of English blends. As a rule of thumb a blend with a dominant note of Latakia and a secondary note of Virginia succinctly describes an English blend. Characteristically English blends offer a rich natural taste and smoky aroma. However defined, this incredibly cool smoking and rich tasting tobacco fills the bill in spades. Latakia provides a base note and ballast; whereas, Virginia provides constant sweetness. Try Sutliff's Blend No. 5 to see if you agree.

Product: Sutliff Blend No. 5 1.5oz
This is a very balanced blend. The addition of Burley is really a nice twist on a English blend. The sweetness of the Virginia doesn't overpower. Medium strength but flavorful. Very pleasant smoke.
Mild, but tasty

Product: Sutliff Blend No. 5 1.5oz
...for an English blend. Qualifies as an all day smoke. Not a beast Latakia blend, but it satisfies a lat-bomb aficionado like me when I don't want thermo-nuclear latakia. From tin-note to end of bowl, it's a nice ride. If you're an Aro/VA/VAper look... Read More

This is fine. It has some depth and a good flavor, but i wouldnt say its exceptional by any means. Its certainly better than some english blends for me. I think the price point here makes up for its lack in unique character. Maybe it will grow on me ... Read More
A Decent English

Product: Sutliff Blend No. 5 1.5oz
I was looking for a nice, not too stout English blend for my “winter stash”. My taste in pipe tobacco is fairly ecclectic, but these days I am definitely a Va/Per and straight Virginia guy. Still, I also regularly smoke the milder burley-based blends... Read More
