Sutliff's Pipe Force is a limited-edition series crafted by Danish master blender Per Georg Jensen. A bold, innovative series, Pipe Force draws on its science-fiction inspiration to push tobacco blends into new frontiers by utilizing rare tobaccos and unique curing techniques.

The series inaugural blend, Pipe Force: Episode IV explores the intriguing nuance of two unconventional stoved tobaccos: Katerini and Rustica. Though quite enticing in their unstoved states, once partially Cavendished, these varietals can impart an even richer, deeper, and earthier character — adding woody, herbal spice and extra body to any blend. Presented in a plug-cut format, Episode IV leverages both of these unprecedented stoved tobaccos in an all-day, Oriental-forward English blend of select Red Virginias, sun-cured leaf, and Latakia.

Note: Only 7,500 tins were produced for this limited run, and one in every 10 tins contains a collectable challenge coin emblazoned with the blend's character-driven tin art.

Are you ok, pips? Writing garbage even before you tried it? Yes, that's how Sutliff makes their money. Yes, another limited edition every month. Yes, you don't have to buy it if you don't want to. But who knows, maybe it's good? Try it first, then speak up?

The day this was released I bought ten tins because I wanted one of the coins, and the marketing said one in ten tins gets a coin. So, I bought ten tins, hoping to get one with a coin. I know that's not how math works, but that's what I did. Now that I've tried it a few times I'm not very pleased with my purchase, because I'm not a huge fan of this stuff. It's smokable, it's not terrible, it's just not something I'll go to bed thinking about or wake up craving in the morning. It will never be my first choice. It may eventually be smoked over the next 20 years, but I will never be thrilled when it's time to smoke this. Maybe I can sell my tins on TinBids in a few years....Read More

Good blend, not an all day smoke but still nice. Not a patch on Bijou though. Didn't get a 'collectable challenge coin', but then again I'm not 7 years old, so I don't care. Borderline 'Vape style' cartoon gimmick art and 'coin' that adds little to the overall product at $16.46. Personally, I wouldn't describe it as "light" or "mild" but instead I'd call it "mellowed". Plenty of flavor that's well balanced. I tend to prefer VA blends, but all in all, a really tasty english. Try using the breathe technique and you can really pick up a lot of nuanced flavors. Breaks up easily and burns really well. Definitely recommend picking up a couple tins....Read More

As a confirmed Lat-forward English blend smoker, this blend, featuring Rustica, was a must buy/try... And I was not disappointed. Have loaded it into everything from a brand new Brigham to well-broken in Stanwell. Every bowl had the bold notes of Latakia and Rustica, mellowed out with the Cavendish and Orientals. This is a punchy peppery blend solid and interesting if it was available always I would probably have to put it in regular rotation. Woodsy and solid its a worthy blend. Smooth and complex it does have a fairly high nicotine hit which is the only down side in my opinion because you do have to take breaks. It would be an all day smoke if not for that. Get some and have the Experience. I am not a flavor guru, however, the taste was semi-sweet, very full-bodied with loads of earthy, leather, a bit of cigar, and some “fruit” notes. It has full English flavors with Oriental overtones from the stoved Rustica and stoved Katerini in it. Very unique and different. Well worth the cash for the experience. Not an all-day smoke as it is far too big of a nic hit for me, although it is probably a medium nic tobacco, and to be fair I smoke an entire bowl in 75 minutes. I smoked it in my classically beautiful, Savenelli Puto Oro Classic 316 KS (bought from Smoking Pipes), with a shallow wide bowl of about an inch deep and almost an inch across....Read More
