Sutliff: States of Virginia 1.5oz Pipe Tobacco

Sutliff boasts more than 150 years of history. Founded in 1849 by H.W. Sutliff in San Francisco, California, the American brand began as a retail establishment, and by 1933 had began producing their own pipe tobacco. Sutliff produces a number of iconic blends through their expansive portfolio, and they're highly-regarded for their limited-edition blends. States of Virginia is one of those limited editions, and it comprises a trio of distinct tobaccos all held within a single tin. Each of the tobaccos are variations on Virginias, including stoved, Yellow, and Red varietals, each with their own unique flavors and aromas. The individual flakes showcase their own individual colors, reminiscent of the colors presented on the American flag and making this release a perfect way to celebrate the 4th of July. Though not technically a blend in the classic sense, States of Virginia presents ample opportunity to experiment with blending yourself on a small scale, Sutliff encouraging experimentation with the three tobaccos to find a combination that suits you best.
