Inspired by CAO's flavorful Eileen's Dream Cigarillos, this blend begins with a base of quality Virginia leaf and then infuses the same with a frothed cream that's been laced with superior Irish whiskey and coconut milk, followed by a subtle mixture of hazelnut paste, ground almonds, cocoa and vanilla extracts. This is one tobacco that your in-laws might actually encourage you to smoke around them (maybe).

Ozgener himself would've been happy to put this in his own pipe, if he was a fan of sweet aro's. Few pipe and/or cigar smokers know that Ozgener was actually a pipe-maker and a pipe enthusiast many years before the company became so well known for their delicious cigars. When I first got back into piping, I had to try these CAO blends because I'd always been a fan of their stogies. While this is far from a CAO cigar, being a real sweet one, it boasts a very unique flavor that doesn't feel "fake" or like loads of chemicals. Though it is reminiscent of hookah tobacco, especially with its goopy-wet presentation. Still, even the pipers who usually stick to non-aromatics can and have enjoyed Eileen's Dream. Be warned that it'll ghost a pipe to death though, so if you're a non-aro. smoker like me, use a cob, or an old and/or dedicated aro. pipe. Be prepared to dry it out for at least a day too, because drying it too quickly will ruin the casing. It's almost perfect right out of the tin, but I like my tobacco a little on the dry side, so after 20-25 minutes, in the bowl she went. It took well to flame and I didn't struggle to keep it going like I sometimes do with aromatics. The tobacco burns a little on the warmer side, but not once did it get too hot. It's creamy and unlike most flavored tobaccos, it's a light and airy smoke, rather than heavy and "chewy." This blend is (ahem) based on the CAO cigarillos by the same name, so let me start by saying I've had them both and they are the same in name only as far as I can tell. I didn't much care for the cigarillos, but the pipe tobacco is a total winner. This blend sounds like the kitchen sink of an Irish bakery, but trust me all these flavors combine into one tasty concoction. White chocolate, cream, nuts, coconut milk...what a list! What I taste is Baileys Irish Cream with maybe a pecan sandies aftertaste? Point is, it is yummy. Usually aros are goopy, but CAO does a good job of keeping it slightly moist and ready to smoke from the tin. And, it smokes pretty good slightly moist which puzzled me at first. Some blends just do better that way, I guess. I learned the hard way to do this by airing out a tin until it was “just right” by other standards and somehow it lost much of it's flavor? I'll never do that again. If Eileen's Dream needs to be wet, er that's how I'll enjoy it! It's a bit of heaven every time. Read Less

Opening the tin leads to a great aroma of chocolate and vanilla. I wouldn’t go so far as to say truffles. The Irish Cream is there, as well as hazelnut, but neither is overwhelming. I may be alone here, but I also detected a very faint spiciness, which also came through in the smoke; but more on that later.
The moisture from the tin is slightly damp, but not far off of perfect. Smoking directly from the tin turned out just fine, but the blend definitely improved with a little drying time. The blend packs well. Inside the pipe before I touched a flame to it, I’ll be darned if I didn’t get an overwhelming taste of fig newton cookies. This was out of an unsmoked churchwarden, but your mileage may vary.
The blend lights well, and scores 10/10 for holding a flame. Throughout the entire tin, I only had to relight a bowl once or twice after my primary light. Once lit, the chocolate and Irish cream really come through. The tobacco is sweet, but not overly. Imagine taking dark, bittersweet chocolate and mixing it with a light, unsweet Irish cream. That’s what you’re purchasing in this blend. The tobacco however isn’t so heavily cased that that it kills the tobacco flavor. There’s still a nice Cavendish in there, and it the flavors all complement one another. I also get a slight spiciness in the blend; just enough to let you know it’s there by tickling the throat.
This blend is not overly complex, but is certainly not one dimensional. I wouldn’t recommend if for an all-day smoke. You really have to sip on it gently, or it will bite with a vengeance. All in all, I highly recommend this blend. It will do well in an aromatic smoker’s rotation, or an English smoker looking for a small treat every now and then.
