Burley Ribbon Cut is a mixture of Burleys that's specially processed and used in many of C&D's blends. Whether smoked straight, paired with a fine Virginia, or mixed with another component in your blend, this is some of Kentucky and Tennessee's finest.
This is about as good as it gets. I like Burley and of those that I've tried, this is my go to.
Since this is used is many C&D blends I'm familiar with the flavor. This is a great tobacco to blend with Yorktown, which I just did...outstanding.

This is a quality Burley, versatile to blend and smooth enough to enjoy on its own. It is all the best qualities of a quality Burley. Fine smoke. Read Less
This is an amazing Burley, with a rich and satisfying taste and aroma. It has become a staple for me above many tobaccos that had this position before. At is known, this is combination of Burleys used in many C&D blends. However, it is more direct, p... Read Morelain and focused, since it only pure combined burley. My only complaint is that it burns a little bit fast. So smoke very slowly. If I want a more lasting burley experience (with equal strength), I usually go for the C&D's Burley Flake #1. Read Less

This is a quality burley which, unlike PA, doesn’t produce the occasional off gassing or ammonia drift. It’s lighter than C&D Cube Cut Burley by a smidgen, and has more flavor as well. By itself, it’s in the middle of mild to moderate in strength, flavor and nicotine. I like to mix C&D BRC 50/50 with Prince Albert; it kicks up the Prince Albert with a quality leaf yielding a flavorful, medium strength burley. Combining the two offers cocoa, bourbon and anisette… very similar to a lighter - loose leaf version of Solani Aged Burley Flake. 3 stars as I find this suited to an an everyday smoke more so than the cube cut, which is stouter and more for blending. A shorthand annotation about this tobacco:
After enjoying countless bowls of my daily burley, Carter Hall and Prince Albert, I find this Burley Ribbon Cut to serve as the un-edulcorated, artifice-free version of the same. It is quite the plain burley... Read More, but simple is not intended as dull. I find it richly fragrant and palatably pleasant, delivering the full flavor of tobacco with the same but more subtle notes of cocoa and molasses, we enjoy in Carter Hall and Prince Albert. It burns rather quickly; if one follows instead of retarding the burning rhythm, it may deliver a few harsh or bitter (cigarette-like) notes.
I recommend it to those who, like I do, devotedly enjoy Carter Hall and Prince Albert, but occasionally wish these blends had more body and strength.

Good straight up Burley blend. No pretensions, no excuses, nothing fancy. I was concerned about the finer ribbon cut and the possibility it would burn too hot or too quickly but it doesn’t.
