Christmas Blend 2012 (Chestnuts Roasting) 2oz Pipe Tobacco

Delightfully different for those times when you want a little Latakia, and something with a room note that won't run the wife off. Interesting combination.

There was a three year period of the fifty years of my pipe smoking life when I smoked only Latakia based blends. One year of smoking exclusively Owl Shop's Harkness Tower. Since then I only smoke Virginia flakes. So, the addition of Latakia in this blend kinda put me off. But, it seems to work, I would have liked a bit less Latakia and some added perique. As an exclusive English blend smokker, I had the pleasure of sampling this blend while visiting C&D. Without question it will become my only aromatic blend that I'll smoke at least once daily. This stuff is great for any type of smoker.

Well I had high hopes for this blend, but it is awful. The chestnut and Lat just dont go together well.
