I'm surprised to see this blend has such poor reviews, I really enjoy it, it reminds me a lot of Nightcap, but much more pleasant. Flavor is a bit of citrus from the Virginias and a nice amount of smokiness with just a bit of spice on the retrohale. A full and bold blend that isn't uneven or too in your face. As an English/Balkan lover I enjoy this for a change of pace smoke. The sweetness of the Virginia and the spicy notes of the Perique are dominant throughout. Almost too much Perique for my tastes. Almost. The Burley lends a nuttiness in the background, which is nice. I don’t detect much Latakia, if any. This smokes well and won’t bite. Gives wonderful plumes of smoke. There are those days when one reaches outside of the rotation for something else. I bagged this one in 2019 and put it in a jar recently. It was bulk. The componentry is ribbon cut for the most part with a low key English aroma. I did not detect any casing on the sniff or the bowl. Kind of hard to get a feel for things until mid-bowl, and it was an adequately pleasurable smoke and remained in the background, There was nothing to press the case for or against. While I knew it wasn't going to be a match of the sutliff match, I didn't think it would be this terrible. The 1st third is ok the flavor is decent but after that it taste like I'm smoking dottile and ash. I tried it in a variety of chamber sizes and shapes and its just a no from me dawg.

This is actually my favorite blend to this point, not only from an overall standpoint, but as a blend that can be an all day smoke. I’m sure it will be surpassed one day, as I have only been smoking a handful of years and have much to try yet. However reaching that honor, for however long, stands on its own. I would be shocked if this had any topping, as some here are suggesting. It’s as slight as it can be if so, but I’m not getting it.
