Product: John Cotton's Smyrna 1.75oz
4 yr old Jar note of sweet wine, smoky, and spices. Tobacco is tan and brown with a little black mixed in. Moisture content is good to go, no prep needed. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected... Read More
. Taste is medium to full and mostly consistent, with notes of sweet herbal spices, smoky, spicy/peppery, bitter wood, toasted bread, floral, lemon zest, earth, musty dry vegetation, incense, a peaty sour fermented background note, and a peppery retro. Latakia is barely leading over Oriental/Turkish, and Virginias are supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less
Not how I remember it

Product: John Cotton's Smyrna 1.75oz
This is good. But really just another medium English/Balkan blend. The original had a really unique under sweetness that was really amazing--whatever that was it seems missing here. It smokes to the bottom every time. I am going to let it age.

Product: John Cotton's Smyrna 1.75oz
I purchased the tin when it was first introduced, jarred it, and after 3 years and about to finish it. It was excellent from the beginning and only improved. It has great smoking qualities--it burns nicely, gives off nice plumes, and is rather cool... Read More
. The flavor is top-notch, and Orientalists will have a great time with it. It is without a doubt one of those blends that makes one question why they are not smoking it more frequently. Read Less
Not bad, cut is obnoxious

Product: John Cotton's Smyrna 1.75oz
Tastes great, heavy lat, that cut though. After every pack, no matter what, I'd suck down a mouth full of fine tobacco flakes. Very obnoxious. Both this blend and #3 both have very fine flakes
beautiful

The tobacco has settled well in my wooden seal, the aroma is amazing, balanced.
Char-soft smoke blows, leaving a consistent ash. Flavors are subtle all the way through. A learning positive smoking experience.
Quite OK- not outstanding

Product: John Cotton's Smyrna 1.75oz
The smell of the tobacco is indeed very aromatic, with a lot of latakia. The cut is remarkable fine, makes it very easy to light. Dark and bright leaf is in the same proportions visible. The taste is Latakia- dominated, with a lot of sweetness from t... Read More
he Virginias. But it's very light, very monochromatic, changing only a little bit wile smoking. To be honest, i miss smome strengh, miss some more character. I guess it's a good choice for the latakia- beginner, or if you look for a Latakian All- day smoke. But it's too nice, and easy going to buy another tin. I will rather stay with G.L.Pease and Cornell & Diehl blends! Read Less
