This is the best Black Cav value on the market. Great straight or as a mixer. As opposed to some other BC's out there, this has a healthy dose of chocolate/cocoa flavor to go along with the vanilla. Seeing it's made by Lane and the price point, figured I couldn't go to far wrong - a correct assumption. Sweet, mild, cool. No bite anywhere in the bag. Room note is "excellent"according to She Who Must Be Obeyed. Flavor is not as full or intense as my most beloved black cab blend (Black Arrow), taking one star off...but with Black Arrow at $5/oz, SP picks half that star back up. Just so you know i have been aging tabacco for 3 years now... and from everything i have learned is that any tabacco can have tounge burn if not properly shipped or aged... My guess is you bought a bag out of a warehouse and it must have had a hole in it so that it was not properly sealed... and so it aged whale it was in the warehouse... if i were you i would buy it again but use a different seller... and check the results... but smokingpipes.com is the best site i have found for fresh tins... don't know about bags though... couse i buy this from a store.....Read More

I've been smoking Smoker's Pride Black Cavendish for a long time now-- a number of years, as my main "go-to" tobacco. I'll readily admit that this is generally not something to be proud of, in the sense that there are a lot of people who turn their noses up at it because it comes in a bag and is soaked in GC. However, I've seen my five or six of my friends convert to this as their daily tobacco because it's so easy on the tongue, pleasant smelling, and doesn't leave a bad room after-smell. This stuff feels very wet out of the bag. Pack it loose in your bowl and it will burn pretty good. It taste like surprisingly good, mild vanilla flavor. I like this better than most CB mixes, cheaper too. I will take and mix up to 1/2 with Carter Hall and have a really nice blend that does not bother anyone else in the room, most really like it. I cant get this blend to bite . It's a blend I've turned people on to , some that dont even like Aromatics , and most seem to really enjoy it and are surprised at how well it smokes even thoughit it is wet to the touch . I dont attempt to dry it , I just fill and ligh it up . it has a " typical " black cavendish flavor and isnt way over flavored . It smokes cool and rather dry . I have tried all of these products and they are SOAKED in PG! I bought a bag of this stuff. I dried it for a total of 23h. I checked it after 15min, still soaking wet. 30mins no change. 2h, no change. Overnight slightly drier and still had VERY bad tongue bite. After 23h it still had awful bite. I gave it away to someone and he ended up throwing it out as he didn't like either. To each their own, but I will never buy anything from Smoker's Pride again.
