Product: War Horse Ready Cut 50g
Tin note of sweet barbecue, mild licorice and peaty vegetation. Tobacco is a wide ribbon cut of orangish tan, light brown, brown and dark brown with a little black. Moisture content is great. Burns moderately with few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild to medium. Flavoring is mild, with notes of licorice. Flavoring is up front upon initial lighting, then gradually moves to the background by the 1/2-way point. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of licorice, slight spiciness, saccharin like sweetness, spices, molasses, mildly smoky, wood, floral, lemon grass, toast, mild tangy dark fruit, slight bitterness, a mildly spicy peaty vegetation background note, and a peppery retro. Burley is leading most of the time over Kentucky with Perique, Virginia and flavoring supporting. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is good....Read More
My Favourite Blend

Product: War Horse Ready Cut 50g
I ordered War Horse red after recommendations from other gentlemanly pipe-smokers and I was elated. I'm not generally a fan of burley but this one is the exception. So smooth, wonderful smell from the tin, burns clean... well, I'm a big fan. I even mix it a bit with some lane's dark red for a special treat and it blends so well. Just ordered 5 more tins :)...Read More
Great burley blend

Product: War Horse Ready Cut 50g
This is a very enjoyable burley blend. All components are harmonious, and the topping is subtle and works well. The topping is is similar to that of condor, but significantly toned down. Old timey British flavour without the geraniums and rose.
Exceptional Blend

Russ has done it again. This blend is a very tasty blend of Burley, Darkfired Ky, Perique, and Virginia. It packs a bit of a punch. Very nice flavor profile that intermingles throughout the bowl.

well not what i expected, some times thts good but not this time. not a big fan of toppings but if done right can really set off a blend, but in this blend i get the feeling they did it to hide inferior tobacco. i was expecting something dark and earthy like Old Dark Fired or even Irish Flake but instead its a light colored tobacco that really only has the liqure (at least that wht i think it is) so i wont be buying any to cellar but i did finish the tin...Read More

Product: War Horse Ready Cut 50g
I ordered this after reading the reviews on it, thinking it was right up my alley. Boy was I right, Warhorse is on the high side of medium in the vitamin N dept. but oh so smooth. It seems to have just the right amount of perique in it and the perique is a perfect balance between spicy and sweet. The burley gives a nutty flavor that melds perfectly with the musky smokiness of the DFK. It is a flawless smoke for me and I always keep a tin in my rotation....Read More

Product: War Horse Ready Cut 50g
This was a blind buy and I really like it, I think this is going to be a regular in my rotation. It's satisfyingly full bodied without being overly strong. A good everyday smoke.

I don't normally smoke burley blends, but this seems alright. Has a faint but interesting tin note, unfortunately it doesn't seem to carry over to the pipe. Fairly strong and worth a try with a good cup of coffee.
