Danish Estates: Tom Eltang Smooth Dublin (Star) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-001-5171

One of the more unusual designs we've seen from the Eltang workshop, this falls into the rarely-made category of shank-less pipes. The stem enters the bowl under the airway (which is drilled straight down the tobacco chamber) and the tenon has the top portion beveled to allow airflow. Of course, Tom made sure the stem would fit inside something strong, so there is a ring of silver cut into the briar. Pipe makers like to play with ideas and form, and few others experiment as successfully as Tom Eltang.
