Danish Estates: Peter Heding Partially Rusticated Bent Apple (Silver)

Product Number: 004-001-5814

This cool bent apple (I SO want to call it a 'goldfish') from Peter Heding begins with a subtly saddled, wonderfully thin rim that reminds me a bit of a restrained Lasse, and then proceeds onto a superbly shaped bowl redolent with cross cut grain and birdseye. Peter then deftly carves a bevel into each side of the bowl to accentuate the sides. The front and back of the bowl sports a pleasing birdseye and there is a right nice cross cut grain on the sides of the bowl, as well as flame grain on the shank.
