Danish Estates: Jobey Dansk Spot Rusticated Bent Egg (2)

Product Number: 004-001-6000

Reminiscent of the Danish shapes from both the 1970s and the 1960s, this piece's slender gesture and high rising bowl is held suspect to Sixten Ivarsson's influence - a Danish Freehand descending from the canonical tree still recognizable, one that didn't plunge off the branch into complete "fancy" ambiguity. Its tie to more classic forms make this pipe fit very naturally in hand, which is good because given the deep bowl, it's going to be there awhile.
