Danish Estates: Jorgen Nielsen Partially Rusticated Bent Billiard with Boxwood Ferrule (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-001-6038

The son of Viggo Nielsen and brother to Kai, Jorgen comes from a family with well-established pipe-making credentials. As we see here, like his father, Jorgen really knows how to combine some serious grain with fine Danish shaping, coaxing out the very best a particular block of briar has to offer. In the case of this graceful bent Billiard, upon seeing the rustication on the fore/bottom of the heel, I could almost hear Nielsen groaning, upon discovering the flaw which necessitated the carving. Unsmoked, and quite beautiful.
