Danish Estates: Preben Holm Hand Cut Smooth Freehand with Horn (5)

Product Number: 004-001-6132

Preben Holms is known for these very Danish 1970's style pipes, this one leaning a bit toward the conservative side, with some little features that are slightly outside the norm. For instance, its Acorn-like bowl does not flare as typically seen in the school; the small scale of the bowl also falls suspect, when paired with a long, dramatic shank. In the hands of Preben, however, it all seems to come together nicely, enveloped in luscious straight grain.
