Danish Estates: Nording Signature Partially Rusticated Freehand
Product Number: 004-001-6256
The Signature line started with Erik Nording shaping pipes at shows, then signing the unfinished briar simply as a souvenir. This proved so popular that he decided to make them a series in their own right, each hand-signed by the Danish master himself. Most of them are basically of the same Dublin-esque form - which this one definitely is - but this particular example is severely altered through its highly unique "dripping-wax" rustication, which now takes on the appearance of (quotation mark gesture) "liquid hot MAGMA".
