Danish Estates: Karl Erik Spot Rusticated Freehand (0) (B)

Product Number: 004-001-6606

When I picked up this pipe, I instantly liked the carver. The shape is boldly executed, and the grain runs close to amazing on the right of the bowl. Looking at the stamp, much to my pleasant surprise, the legendary Karl Erik made this one. I have always loved Erik's neoclassical shapes, but (until now) I had never really associated his name with Freehands. Guess old dogs can learn new tricks.
