Danish Estates: Jorgen Nielsen Sandblasted Bent Pot (CC) (9mm) (Unsmoked)
Product Number: 004-001-9183
There are a lot of Nielsens in the pipe world, some of whom are, in fact, related to each other. That's the case with Jorgen, the younger brother of Kai Nielsen, who both got their start in pipemaking doing grunt work at the Bari pipe factory, which was at the time owned in part by Viggo Nielsen — their father. Suffice to say Jorgen has come a long way from polishing stems at the age of ten.
Though the works of Jorgen, Kai, and the late Viggo all show differences in personal direction and preferences, one shape element that can be found in the pipes of all three is seen here: the flattened, paneled (often six-sided), slightly curved shank, followed by a half-stepped or smartly angled stem.
