Danish Estates: Stanwell Sandblasted (91R) (Regd. No.) (1948-1960s) Tobacco Pipe

This unassuming, vintage Stanwell piece is quite the substantial utilitarian smoker. Being low and wide simply wasn't enough for this long-obscured design; Stanwell had to go one further and drop the bowl's center mass as low as they could go while still maintaining some semblance of a Tomato shape. The result is a thick-walled, broad-chambered briar that cradles nicely in hand and which serves as a perfect desk-top smoker, since short of flipping the pipe completely upside down, there's really no way to spill it over. Only some minor rim darkening here; otherwise condition is very good.
