Danish Estates: Tom Eltang Smooth Devil Anse

Product Number: 004-001-16432

Tom Eltang's Devil Anse shape is one that hardly needs an introduction. But alas, I will give it a (brief) one: though originally inspired by the television mini-series Hatfields & McCoys, the compact Belge-esque shape was originally designed by Tom shortly after seeing Kevin Costner smoking one on-screen. It didn't take long to take the pipemaking (and, subsequently, pipesmoking) world by storm, with many artisans designing facsimiles that came fairly close, but none are as visually balanced, nor as stunning, as Tom's original. This one shows a little rim darkening, but condition is still very good.
