Danish Estates: Stanwell Royal Briar (363) (Regd. No.) (1948-1960s) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-16500

While the plateau-crowned rim gives this bent Dublin some organic styling, the lower bowl and transition imply a more structured approach, and the entire piece stands out as a Stanwell classic. It's been finished in an auburn contrast stain, which serves to bring out some very nice grain, and is a beautiful representation of this older class of Stanwell briar — particularly because, despite its age, it's still in very good condition, showing only some rim darkening, handling marks, and small tooth marks and oxidation on the stem.
