Danish Estates: Sailor Sandblasted Potato Sack (by Stanwell)

Product Number: 004-001-17225

Designed by Sixten Ivarsson for Stanwell, the Potato Sack shape features a somewhat Acorn-ish bowl at the end of a long slender stretch of shank and stem. This Sailor example is finished in a light depth sandblast with waves of ripping grain circumventing the entirety of the bowl's surface. The angle of the rim in conjunction with the overall shape of the bowl does bring to mind a potato sack, if one tries. Leave it to Sixten Ivarsson to turn the basic form of a sack into functional art.
