Danish Estates: Stanwell Selected Briar (91R) (Regd. No.) (1948-1960s) Tobacco Pipe

Stanwell's "91R" is a Sixten Ivarsson-designed rendition of his Ukulele shape. Similar to the Diplomat, it features a broadly splayed bowl on the end of a slightly bend oval shank and stem combination. The bowl however is flattened along the underside and tapers toward the rim — the profile when viewed from above reminiscent of the instrument after which it's named. Presented here is an example from between 1948 and the 1960s, in good condition and dressed in a traditional finish.
