Danish Estates: Nording Ocaso Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin (2003)
Product Number: 004-001-17698
We've seen a number of Ocaso pipes from Erik Nording in the past, most of them dating back to 2003. The shapes themselves have differed from piece to piece, being somewhat subdued Danish shapes compared to his more floral Freehand fare. While many of them do wear this type of partial rustication, the only unifying factor I can point to is the crackled yellow acrylic accent around the shank face. Ocaso does translate to "sunset" from Spanish, so maybe that's the theme — those accents do provide a neat bit of warmth together with the warm chestnut stain.- Andrew Wike
