Danish Estates: Ingo Garbe Smooth Bent Dublin

Product Number: 004-001-18922

At almost six-and-a-half inches, this is quite a long Dublin by Ingo Garbe, and its breadth of bowl is commensurate with those proportions, well-rounded and substantial in hand. The chamber walls are quite thick, rendering a wide circle of rim for the excellent birdseye grain that resides on its softly inflated surface. A lifting heel promotes the lithe and sinuous character of this piece, while tight tendrils of vertical grain cascade down the flanks. The shank curves slightly upward and the stem presents a counterbalancing downward arc for good balance and a deftly serpentine aspect in profile.
